John Kevin King (aka Johnny King) is a producer, singer, songwriter, and performer. He produced his first album with Grammy Award winners Buddy Miles and Vassar Clements, locking in history the first and only time these performers played original music together. Not only does Johnny sing and produce great music, he also writes it. He has written well over 100 songs. He has even figured out a way to help musicians play better with his soon-to-be released book.
Johnny has been playing music for over twenty years. He began by learning the drums first in his father’s band Hot Rod Lincoln at the age of fifteen, later picking up the bass, guitar, and keys. He plays slide, lead, and rhythm guitar. His other instruments inlcude five-string bass, hammond organ, mandolin, and trumpet. He is a talented, well-rounded musician. The style of his music ranges from blues, roots, rock, reggae, bluegrass, country, motown, gospel, funk, latin, ragtime, New Orleans jazz, jam band, and psychedelic southern rock.
